Who qualifies for SMP
- She's an employee and has worked for you continuously for at least 26 weeks into the qualifying week.
- Her average weekly earnings are at least £129.00.
- She gives notice at least 15 weeks before the baby is due, with proof of pregnancy (form MATB1).
- Most employers can reclaim 92% of SMP from HMRC — or 103% if they qualify for Small Employers' Relief.
